This heart-stopping closed circuit video footage, released overnight, shows the moment a group of relaxing couriers saved the life of a two year old girl as she plunged from the balcony of her home.
The incident happened in Ninghai, China. The two year old, named Chichi, escaped the attention of her mother, named locally as Kiki Yeung, and climbed out of the fifth floor balcony window.
The couriers, who are parked in the street below, notice the little girl’s predicament after hearing her cries. They gang together to catch her, breaking her fall that would probably have otherwise proved fatal.
The video appears to show that some of the couriers suffered minor injuries – but the little one was unharmed apart from a small graze on her face.
The girl’s parents said they left the little girl home alone, sleeping.
