Calgary housing starts are expected to show a large increase in 2010 before stabilizing in 2011, according to Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation.

Calgary housing starts are expected to show a large increase in 2010 before stabilizing in 2011, according to Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation.

According to yesterday’s Fall 2010 Calgary Housing Market Outlook report, housing starts in the city are expected to increase from 6,318 units in 2009 to 9,100 units in 2010.

In 2011, however, housing starts are expected to slow to around 8,900, due to higher numbers of new and existing homes in the market.
