Il Mercato is one of the most consistent restaurants in HRM.
They just never have a bad day.
I’m here for lunch with a friend and her son. My friend’s Focaccia is filled with roasted chicken, pancetta, avocado and arugula, with a chili aioli. Mine features roasted lamb, caramelized onions, fontina cheese, a few greens, and a honey Dijon aioli.
They are attractive, filling and delicious.
He with the teenage appetite enjoys the tasty Bruschetta brushed with garlic and topped with chopped tomato, parmigiano and Friulano cheese, followed by an awesome dish of Ravioli filled with roasted chicken, wild mushrooms and cambozola cheese, with a mushroom sherry and cream sauce.
We try three luscious desserts: Double Lemon Flan, Triple Chocolate Cheesecake and a scoop of chocolate Gelati a Mano.
The Italian décor is lovely.
It’s a rainy day and the place is abuzz, with tourists and locals, enjoying their lunches well into the afternoon.
