Josh Duggar exorcises Satan and porn from his Ashley Madison apology

Initial references to Duggar’s molestation of his sisters also vanish, as even his former employer, the Family Research Council, slams him.

Our heads are spinning, quite like Linda Blair’s, trying to keep up with the Ashley Madison apology from “19 Kids and Counting” black sheep Josh Duggar.

It seems Duggar, who came clean Thursday that he had an account on the hacked adultery website, AshleyMadison.com, has exorcised some evil references from the apology his mom Michelle and dad Jim Bob posted on The Duggar Family website .

Besides the pornography and lucifer mentions, he also cast out a line about his admission earlier this year that, as a teen, he molested four of his kid sisters.

Metro will take you through several key changes in the text. There have been at least three edits since the original apology.

SATAN REFERENCE
Original:

“The last few years, while publicly stating I was fighting against immorality in our country, in my heart I had allowed Satan to build a fortress that no one knew about.”
Latest:
“The last few years, while publicly stating I was fighting against immorality in our country, I was hiding my own personal failings.”

PORN ADDICTION REFERENCE
Original:
"I have been the biggest hypocrite ever. While espousing faith and family values, I have secretly over the last several years been viewing pornography on the internet and this became a secret addiction and I became unfaithful to my wife."
Latest:

MOLESTATION MENTION
Original:

"I brought hurt and a reproach to my family, close friends and the fans of our show with my actions that happened when I was 14-15 years old, and now I have re-broken their trust."
Latest:
I have brought hurt and a reproach to my family, close friends and the fans of our show with my actions.

Duggar is asking for forgiveness and so far his wife Anna, the mother of his four children, is standing by him. The two are said to be praying.

Duggar used to work for the LGBT-hating Family Research Council, that fights against gay marriage, LGBT equality, and transgender acceptance.

He resigned his lobbying job back when the molestation scandal broke.

On Friday, the group’s president, Tony Perkins, spoke out against Duggar for the first time -- and did not exorcise the porno addiction reference.

“Last night we learned from online reports about allegations concerning Josh Duggar and then read his confession today. We are grieved by Josh’s conduct and the devastating impact of his pornography addiction and marital unfaithfulness,” Perkins wrote.

“Our hearts hurt for his family, and all those affected by Josh’s actions. His deceitful behavior harms his family, his friends, his former coworkers, and the cause he has publicly espoused," he said.

“Those of us who advocate for family values in the public square are held to a higher standard, and Josh’s failures serve as a painful reminder of the destructive effects of not living with integrity. We are praying for the family.”

Hackers have the names and account info of millions of Ashley Madison clients and are making good on a threat to release the info.
