Mom always said to keep your shoes off the couch — unless you’re in the president’s inner circle, it seems.
Kellyanne Conway, counselor to President Donald Trump, was snapped kneeling on a couch in the Oval Office Wednesday, while the president met with leaders of historically black colleges and universities. Perched on her knees, with feet behind her — and shoes on — Conway took photos of the meeting, sparking a debate about decorum in the president’s palace. Twitter users were quick to criticize the top aide, highlighting the apparent lack of respect Trump and his cabinet has for the office.
Judging from that pose on the couch, Kellyanne Conway has zero respect for the Oval office or for herself. https://t.co/tZCLPgVT5t

So Kellyanne Conway treats the Oval Office like it’s her own lounge room? More disrespect for the United States.

Others joked, reviving Conway’s other blunders, like the “Bowling Green Massacre.”

Some on Twitter compared the photo to those of former President Barack Obama, who was snapped with his feet on the Oval Office desk — photos that, at the time, had sparked their own debates.
