GET ON THE GO. A GO Transit on-time guarantee with refunds for GO train delays is the least that GO Transit can do to compensate customers and is something that is long overdue.

This is something that many transit systems around the world already have, including London Underground in London, United Kingdom and MetroLink Trains in Los Angeles. As a regular GO Transit customer, and having been a regular customer of many transit systems, I strongly welcome this idea. Each time a GO t­­­­­rain is delayed, someone is late for work, school or other engagements. Often, meetings will need to be postponed or cancelled affecting upwards of 20 people per passenger delayed.

Multiply that by the number of passengers on the train and that shows how much transit delays affect our economy and our quality of life. As such, the cost of a single journey ticket to compensate for a train delay is insignificant compared to the actual cost of the harm caused by the delay itself.
