After searching for the suspect behind a string of attempted sex crimes, police arrested a Bronx teen who will be arraigned Tuesday, reports stated.

Dennis Ofuoma, 19, was apprehended in Brooklyn on Monday in connection with four attempted rapes within four hours, starting on the night of July 12, CBS2 reported.

It began when Ofuoma allegedly followed his first victim into her Pacific Street apartment, covering her mouth and pushing her against a wall. He then groped her and said he wanted sex, police reported. The 22-year-old woman fought him off, and Ofuma fled the scene, moving on to his next target.

He then allegedly pursued a 29-year-old to her apartment by St. Marks and New York avenues around 1 a.m., just over an hour later. He was reported to have attacked his victim in the same way as the first, but she, too, fought back and Ofuoma ran off, according to CBS2.

In his third assault, the teen allegedly stalked a 22-year-old woman as she entered her building, threatening to murder her. She then hit Ofuoma in the groin, sending him running again.

Only an hour and a half passed before the assailant found his fourth victim, a 32-year-old woman whom he followed into the elevator of her building. While allegedly covering her mouth, he attempted to yank her to the floor when she fought back with such force that he fled.

Investigators identified Ofuoma on surveillance footage from the night of the attacks.
