Man charged after shot fired at police

A 22-year-old Ottawa man appeared in court yesterday to face charges after a male shot at two police officers over the weekend.

Police said a male fired a shot at the officers while running away from them in the area of Gore Private just before midnight Friday.

Police arrested a suspect and located a firearm at the scene.

Bahroz Manafi faces charges including two counts each of attempted murder and discharging a firearm with intent to wound, endanger life or prevent arrest.
