Police are investigating the suspicious death of a young male stemming from a brawl outside a downtown nightclub.
A disturbance at the Plush lounge — located on 9 Ave. and 1 St. S.E. — was reported to police early yesterday morning after a fight broke out inside the bar spilling onto the street.
Duty Insp. Luch Berti said although it appears the 19-year-old victim died from a stab wound, police can’t confirm until the autopsy is released today.
“He was transported to hospital from the scene and appeared to have died as a result of the apparent stab wound, but we can’t confirm this suspicious death as a homicide until we get confirmation from the medical examiner,” Berti told Metro yesterday.
Police are continuing to speak with witnesses at the scene to determine what exactly happened.
“There were a lot of people and people coming and going and next thing they know, there’s a guy laying on the ground,” Berti said.
