Max Stenbeck, son of Swedish media mogul Jan Stenbeck, and a New York City businessman in his own right passed away on Monday. He was 30-years-old.

Stenbeck grew up in Long Island and attended the prestigious boarding school Choate Rosemary Hall in southern Connecticut (the same school John F. Kennedy attended).
After studying at New York University Max Stenbeck focused on co-managing the Kinnevik Group, the parent company of Metro US among other successful media companies, with his sister Cristina Stenbeck.
Stenbeck’s death was confirmed by Kinnevik who released a statement saying Stenbeck had died from complications of diabetes and that he was “a wonderful brother, beloved fiancé and devoted uncle”.
Stenbeck’s family has asked for privacy and requests that any condolences be made in the form of a donation to the American Diabetes Foundation.
