At long last, Metro has acquired documents detailing Harold Camping’s apocalyptic visions.
Family Radio spokesman John Dekruyff took the time to explain the cryptic calculations.
The key to his argument is that there have been three tribulations, or extended periods of suffering that serve as predecessors to the end of times.
THREE GREAT TRIBULATIONS
God, apparently, works in thirds.
“We see that there are 1290 years between 1877 BC and 587 BC, and then we see 1290 doubled (2580) from 587 BC to 1994 AD. We read in Daniel 12:11 that God talks about 1290 days, but in Ezekiel 4:6 god tells us a day for a year. On another note, when you go from Old Testament (BC) to New Testament (AD) you have to subtract one year because there is no year zero. Also when we see there are 430 years from 1877 BC to 1447 BC, and 430 doubled (860) from 1447 BC to 587 BC.”

“When we compare these three Great Tribulation periods, you will notice that the number 23 is featured, they are all separated into two parts, and the number 84 is featured.”
THE HISTORY OF GOD’S SALVATION PLAN
“We see here that GOD used the Nation of Israel for 1480 years, until CHRIST went to the cross in 33 AD. We read in the New Testament that when CHRIST died on the cross that the vale of the temple was torn in two. This big curtain (vale) was like 50 feet tall and it was torn from the top to the bottom (that’s because GOD tore it (GOD was still bringing revelation while the Bible was being written). Now GOD is finished with Israel, and it’s time for the church age to start. “
“We see that the church age started big with almost 3000 that were saved in Acts 2, and that the church age lasts 1955 years (33 AD to the year 1988 AD). So, just as GOD finished with National Israel, he is now finished with the other external representation of the kingdom of GOD (the churches). We read in 1Peter 4:17 “Judgment begins at the house of GOD.”
“The Great Tribulation started on May 21 (one day before Pentacost) 1988 to May 21, 2011 (a full 8400 days which is 23 years). Now GOD is saving outside the churches, we read in Revelation 7 about a great multitude that no man can number (we don’t know who they are), that will become saved during our Great Tribulation, the last 17 years (The Latter Rain). Rain in the Bible brings a harvest, and GOD has in view the spiritual harvest of True Believers.”
LATTER DAYS TIMELINE
“This is the foundation of where it all starts. Harold Camping worked on this and GOD opened his eyes to the truths here, but now many others have gone through this Biblical Timeline and have found out more things because GOD is opening up the scriptures now that we are at the end. It’s the same Bible, but we read in Daniel 12 that “knowledge shall be increased.” “
“It starts in Genesis 5 where Adam is the first man created and he lives 130 and has a son named Seth. Well, now 130 years just went by in the history of the world. Next Seth lives 105 years and has a son named Enos. Guess what? 105 years just went by in the history of the world. Seth is a direct son to Adam because of the phrase “called his name” it’s quara shem in the Hebrew language. If it does not say “called his name” you can be sure it’s not a direct son. Enos is a direct son to Seth, but now we are going to use all the years of Enos, Cainan, Mahalaleel and so on. We are using the full ages of these men, because when one man died, a baby was born the same year so we don’t loose any time. There are no time gaps or overlaps in the Timeline. This Biblical Timeline goes straight through from Adam, unto the death of Solomon (which we can coordinate with our current calendar).”
“When we add all the years up, we find out the 6023 years passed from Adam unto the Flood of Noah’s age. They year of the flood was 4990 BC, and that’s a fact! GOD even gives us the day, the month, and the year the floodwaters were upon the earth. Wow, I’m blown away by this every time I go through this!”
