Meatpacking District gets girly

This month, Rebecca Taylor — your go-to designer for flirty, fem dresses and silky camis — opened the doors to a new retail space in the Meatpacking District. Like her charming Nolita boutique, the new digs are designed to feel like a glamorous Parisian apartment and feature ornate moldings, an original tin ceiling and plush chairs. But clocking in at 1,800 square feet, the location is twice the size of its counterpart, adding more space for racks of pretty chiffon frocks, ruffle tops, accessories and special editions. In celebration of the company’s 15th anniversary, Taylor plans to launch exclusive collaborations in the store with brands such as Citizens of Humanity, Porselli and even her own sister Tory, a jewelry designer. Together they’ll create a dolphin charm; proceeds will go to saving the mammals.

Could it get cuter? Yes! Nooks throughout the store feature some of the designer’s must-haves, like luxe candles, favorite books, home goods and even candy imported from Taylor’s homeland, New Zealand.
