Metro Minute at toboggan hills

Now that the snow is deep enough, it’s time to take in some of the best toboggan hills the city has to offer.

Now that the snow is deep enough, it’s time to take in some of the best toboggan hills the city has to offer.

While the popular hill in Whitemud Park is closed for the winter due to construction, a number of city-maintained hills are ready for you to soar down, including Emily Murphy Park (Emily Murphy Park Road and Groat Road), Gallagher Park (97 Avenue and 92 Street), Government House Park (Groat Road and River Valley Road), Jackie Parker Recreation Area (44 Avenue and 50 Street), and two in Rundle Park (2903–113 Ave.).

There are other sites in the city to toboggan as well, but hills maintained by the city include safe run-outs, safety signs and reduced hazards.
