Directed by Jim Holmes, the play, which producers call a “decidedly modern treatment of Shakespeare’s play,” is one of the Bard’s earliest comedies. Some say the play celebrates man’s dominion over woman, but this has not kept it from being one of Shakespeare’s most popular and frequently performed plays more than 400 years after its first production.
The show, which opened yesterday, runs through Saturday and picks up again next Tuesday and runs through Nov. 20. Showtime is 8 p.m. and tickets are $15.
