Celebrate the winter solstice at the Canada Science and Technology Museum today. Marking the first day of winter, winter solstice – which occurs exactly when the Earth’s axial tilt is farthest away from the sun – is really only a moment in time, but at the museum, it lasts all day. The whole family can enjoy indoor and outdoor activities from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. At night, bundle up and join the Canada Science and Technology Museum for a free star party, where you can gaze at the night sky with telescopes and binoculars. The star party begins at 7 p.m. For more information, visit Sciencetech.technomuses.ca or call 613-991-3053.
