Three separate warnings were issued yesterday afternoon for Halifax — rainfall, wind and storm surge warnings. It marked the third Monday in a row warnings such as these were issued for the province.

Between 35 and 70 millimetres of rain is expected to fall across the province by this evening. The wet weather was forecast to begin last night and continue throughout the day, with the rainfall moving eastward.

Winds go are forecast to reach as high as between 80 to 100 km/h in some parts of the province, with the strongest gusts expected for Cape Breton.
