Toronto Stock Exchange (12,445.93 down 55.79 points):

Bankers Petroleum Ltd. (TSX:BNK). Oil and gas. Down 25 cents, or 3.40 per cent, at $7.10 on 20,372,974. The Calgary-based company with operations in Albania said third-quarter oil production came in lower than anticipated.

Andean Resources Ltd. (TSX:AND). Miner. Down 14 cents, or 2.20 per cent, at $6.21 on 15,516,753 shares. The metals and mining sector dropped 1.37 per cent on the main index.

Bombardier (TSX:BBD.B). Transportation equipment. Up nine cents, or 1.74 per cent, at $5.27 on 8,715,501 shares. Bombardier's aerospace division has obtained a third order for regional aircraft from Libya with a US$131.5-million contract for three CRJ900 NextGen passenger jets.

Eastern Platinum Ltd. (TSX:ELR). Miner. Down four cents, or 2.67 per cent, at $1.46 on 7,885,487 shares.

Kinross Gold Corp. (TSX:K). Miner. Down 53 cents, or 2.68 per cent, at $19.23 on 6,742,435 shares. The global gold index slipped on the TSX as the price of bullion in New York retreated a day after setting a record high.

Yamana Gold Inc. (TSX:YRI). Miner. Down 27 cents, or 2.26 per cent, at $11.66 on 6,492,118 shares.

TSX Venture Exchange (1,765.76 down 8.30 points):

InNexus Biotechnology Inc. (TSXV:IXS). Biotechnology research and development. Up a penny, or 40 per cent, at 3.5 cents on 8,290,278 shares.

Gran Colombia Gold Corp. (TSXV:GCM). Mineral exploration/development. Down half a cent, or 1.54 per cent, at 32 cents on 7,907,380 shares.

Air Canada (TSX:AC.B). Airliner. Down half a cent, or 1.54 per cent, at 32 cents on 7,907,380 shares. Canada's largest air carrier agreed to form a revenue-sharing joint venture with United Airlines for flights between Canada and the United States.

Baffinland Iron Mines Corp. (TSX:BIM). Miner. Up three cents, or 3.1 per cent, at $1.01 on 1,957,027 shares after its board of directors recommended shareholders reject a takeover offer from private equity company Nunavut Iron Ore that values Baffinland at $274.3 million.

Loblaw Co. Ltd. (TSX:L). Grocer. Down 36 cents, or 0.87 per cent, at $40.84 on 323,714 shares. Canada's largest grocer says all its stores will remain open despite the rejection of a tentative contract by members of a union local representing 1,700 employees in southwestern Ontario.

Minera Andes Inc. (TSX:MAI). Mineral exploration. Up 28 cents, or 15.91 per cent, at $2.04 on 6,471,146 shares. The Toronto-based company reported high-grade gold and silver discoveries at a mining property in Argentina in which it has a 49 per cent interest.

Rona Inc. (TSX:RON). Hardware retailer. Down five cents, or 0.38 per cent, at $13.28 on 514,026 shares. The hardware store chain is buying heating, ventilation and air conditioning products maker and distributor Don Park Limited Partnership from the TerraVest Income Fund (TSX:TI.UN) for $25.9 million.
