Muhammad Ali’s daughter honors late father

Muhammad Ali had plenty of nicknames: The Greatest, The Champ, The Louisville Lip. But to Hana Ali, he was simply “Dad.”

In the wake of Ali’spassing on Friday at age 72, Hana Ali shared a tribute on Instagramto her father, the greatest boxing champion in history.

The photo captured a touching moment between the two when Hana was a little girl.

Our father was a “Humble Mountain!” And now he has gone home to God. Pray for the peace of his beautiful soul and for the happiness of his further journey. God bless you daddy. YOU ARE THE LOVE OF MY LIFE!

“Our father was a ‘Humble Mountain!'” Hana Ali captioned a selfie of herself and her father on Instagram. “And now he has gone home to God. Pray for the peace of his beautiful soul and for the happiness of his further journey. God bless you daddy. YOU ARE THE LOVE OF MY LIFE!”

Hana is one of Ali’s nine children. She and Ali coauthored a book, “The Soul of a Butterfly,” a memoir of the boxing legend’s journey and spiritual growth from childhood on.

Hana continued her tribute with a post detailing her father’s last minutes.

“All of us were around him hugging and kissing him and holding his hands, chanting the Islamic prayer. All of his organs failed but his HEART wouldn’t stop beating. For 30 minutes…his heart just kept beating,” Hana wrote.

A family spokesman said Saturday Ali died of septic shock due to natural causes. He had a lengthy battle with Parkinson’s disease, which impaired his motor skills and speech.

On Twitter Sunday, Hana shared a photo that featured another recently deceased icon.

“Prince doing his version of Daddys levitating magic trick act!”she tweeted Sunday morning.

Prince, 57, died April 21 of a drug overdose.
