Premier Darrell Dexter announced tax-credit changes for Nova Scotia’s film, TV and new-media industries yesterday — changes he said will “increase local industry’s competitive advantage.”

Premier Darrell Dexter announced tax-credit changes for Nova Scotia’s film, TV and new-media industries yesterday — changes he said will “increase local industry’s competitive advantage.”

One of the changes makes it so that workers need reside in Nova Scotia only during a production in order to qualify for a residency credit.

The film industry tax credit’s production cap was eliminated.
