Reports of a stabbing in Chocolate Lake turned out to be just a couple of guys looking for a morning swim.
Halifax Regional Police were called to the Best Western Hotel around 11 a.m. yesterday after receiving reports of an intoxicated man with a knife.
Two men entered the hotel to try to sneak in a swim. One man was sopping up blood from a cut on his hand with his shirt.
When police arrived, the men fled. They were later found by police, and explained their situation. Police spokesman Const. Brian Palmeter said there was no knife involved, and he doesn’t believe charges will be laid.
