As the stars of Mad Man gathered for the premiere of the final part of the final series of the iconic show, New York prepared to celebrate the iconic show with a series of events ahead of the April 5 TV premiere.

This week is Mad Men Dining Week in NY, soyou can sip cocktails like Joan andlunch like Roger and Don, thanks to an offer of two courses or cocktails for $19.69 at restaurants that were a hit in the 1960s includingLe Cirque, ’21’ Club, Barbetta andEl Parador Café.

Mad Men creatorMatthew Weiner talks at the Museum ofJewish Heritage on March 29 and the New York Public Library on May 20 – where you can still catch the Mad Men Book List, which features 25 books that feature in the show until April 5.

In the meantime, you can also admire25 costumes,props, sets, artwork and research material at the Matthew Weiner’s Mad Men exhibition,at the Museum of theMoving Image. For serious buffs there’s also the weekend of Mad Men movies at theBrooklyn Academy of Music, where you can watch moviesthat the characters either watched, or even just talked about, in the show.
