As the stars of Mad Man gathered for the premiere of the final part of the final series of the iconic show, New York prepared to celebrate the iconic show with a series of events ahead of the April 5 TV premiere.
This week is Mad Men Dining Week in NY, so you can sip cocktails like Joan and lunch like Roger and Don, thanks to an offer of two courses or cocktails for $19.69 at restaurants that were a hit in the 1960s including Le Cirque, '21' Club, Barbetta and El Parador Café.
Mad Men creator Matthew Weiner talks at the Museum of Jewish Heritage on March 29 and the New York Public Library on May 20 - where you can still catch the Mad Men Book List, which features 25 books that feature in the show until April 5.
In the meantime, you can also admire 25 costumes, props, sets, artwork and research material at the Matthew Weiner's Mad Men exhibition, at the Museum of the Moving Image. For serious buffs there's also the weekend of Mad Men movies at the Brooklyn Academy of Music, where you can watch movies that the characters either watched, or even just talked about, in the show.
