MichaelKors

Designer: Michael Kors

Everything’s coming up roses for Michael Kors. Or rather camellias, lilacs and daffodils: the florals appeared as bold prints on below-the-knee dresses and pajama pants, or came embroidered with sequins on sheer tulle skirts.

The embellished look, paired with a simple poplin shirt cinched at the waist, epitomized that relaxed American elegance Kors spins so well. The designer described the mood as “optimistic chic,” and the sunny collection checked off all the requisites of a preppy summer wardrobe: chic capri trouser, light-as-air gingham sundresses, luxe knit pullovers and perfect for a sail, navy blue trench.

They exuded wealth and glamour and were the kind of clothes you could imagine one wearing to, say, a modern-day picnic at the Kennedy’s.
