OC Transpo set to boost services

After a public consultation, OC Transpo is set to unveil major service improvements to its transit system this month.

On Sunday, a new west Transitway corridor will open prepared to meet the higher demand for transit in the fall. There will be increased frequency to the rapid transit network on routes 94, 95, 96, 97, 98 and 106, the addition of new route 99, and the introduction of 24-hour service on route 95.

While a new section of the west Transitway corridor will open between Bayshore and Pinecrest to reduce travel time, there will new routes introduced in order to extend service to new areas in Orléans, Riverside south and west Ottawa.

Three new commuter routes –195 and 199 serving the RCMP building in Barrhaven, and 133 serving Renaud Road in Orléans — will also be introduced.
