Before you hit the events mentioned on page 17, mixologist Charlotte Voisey suggests having some cocktails (it will help with yelling, “Viva la revolucion!”). Her Bastille Day punch features the classic French aperitif, Lillet. It’s perfect for some pregaming.
“The great thing about Lillet is that it’s low in alcohol. It’s just a nice, gentle cocktail,” Voisey said. Her advice for this weekend?? “Bastille Day is like the Fourth of July for Americans. It’s embracing French culture by celebrating things that are quintessentially French.”
