Warning: Graphic video
A stunt pilot and his wing walker have died when their plane plunged to the ground and exploded into a fireball at the Dayton, Ohio airshow this afternoon.
The video shows the flight apparently proceeding normally before the plane, a 450 HP Stearman, suddenly lurches to the right and plummets to the ground.
The wing walker was named locally as Jane Whicker. Police in Dayton, Ohio had not named the victims officially last night, but confirmed there were two fatalities. No spectators were hurt.
An investigation has been launched but the cause of the crash has not yet been ascertained.
Local media reported this afternoon that Ms Whicker owned the plane that crashed and was engaged to be married to its crew chief. She is reported to have wanted to get married while wing-walking.
