Sports teams around the country release new uniforms for special occasions. Some teams will sport all-green uniforms for St. Patrick's Day, others sport a retro look to commemorate a team from the past. This year, the Northwestern University football program will wear uniforms that feature some very unique detailing.
On November 16, Northwestern will take the field against Michigan and will be wearing special uniforms made by Under Armour to support and raise awareness for the Wounded Warrior Project - an organization dedicated to injured service members.
These uniforms have been receiving a lot of criticism because they feature graphics that look like spatters of blood. Some say it is a great tribute to wounded service members, while others say the gesture is is too graphic.
