The folks behind Jeremy Piven’s aborted Broadway run in Speed the Plow may be looking to recoup their investment. Piven abruptly left the show last month because of “mercury poisoning” from eating too much sushi. To the investors, the whole thing sounds fishy, according to the New York Post.

Producers for the show revealed that Piven has been examined by another doctor to get a second opinion, and if it turns out he’s playing sick, they may be able to “squeeze some money out of him,” a source said.
