Ottawa police are investigating after a driver of a vehicle was killed in a crash Thursday morning.
At 4:30 a.m., Ottawa police and firefighters responded to the area of Regional Road 174 and Jeanne D’Arc Boulevard for the report of a vehicle that had struck the pillar in the median at Jeanne D’Arc Boulevard.
Upon arrival, emergency workers found the vehicle was fully engulfed in flames. Ottawa fire services quickly put out the fire and one occupant was found deceased in the vehicle.
The collision investigation section closed the road until 11 a.m. for the investigation.
Police said Thursday the victim has yet to be identified and investigators are waiting for an autopsy report.
