Ottawa police have laid charges in a historical sexual assault investigation.
A Renfrew man was charged after police alleged a male teacher assaulted a teenaged male more than 40 years ago.
Police allege the teacher was involved in inappropriate sexual activity with a 13-year-old boy who was attending Elizabeth Park Intermediate School in Ottawa back in the 1960s.
Michael Grant Slater, 70, was arrested Wednesday. He was charged with one count each of indecent assault on a male and gross indecency. He appeared in court Thursday.
The investigation continues.
