Police seek help solving violent robbery

Police are hoping the public will assist them in finding four men responsible for a home invasion last month in the city’s northwest that saw a Calgary man lose his ear.

Police are hoping the public will assist them in finding four men responsible for a home invasion last month in the city’s northwest that saw a Calgary man lose his ear.

On Aug. 13, four men wearing ATCO Gas clothing forced their way into a home and physically assaulted the victim and left with some property, according to Det. Brad Moore.

“We believe one of the offender’s names may possibly be Christian,” Moore said, adding it doesn’t appear the men were actually ATCO employees.

“This was a targeted attack.”

Police believe two of the men used the victim’s credit card at 7-Eleven stores in the city and hope photos of two suspects help generate some tips to authorities.

There have been 54 home invasions in the city in 2010.
