Police will be going door to door and conducting traffic checkpoints in Dartmouth Friday afternoon on the second anniversary of the death of Rachelle Valade.

Police are seeking the public’s assistance in finding a truck that struck and killed Valade Dec. 3, 2008.

Shortly after 9 p.m., 35-year-old Valade was walking through a parking lot at 6 Primrose St. when a white tractor-trailer cab struck her as it was pulling out of a parking spot. The truck continued out of the lot and turned right onto Victoria Road.

It is not known whether or not the driver is aware that he or she struck Valade, according to police.

Police are asking for information about any trucks parked in that location around the time of the incident.
