Rambo’s day with owner

Clutching his favourite green blanket, the one he likes to sleep with, Gabriela Nowakowska was anxious to have her first visit since Christmas with her “good boy.”
“I’m pretty excited,” said the 20-year-old yesterday.
The Mississauga woman hasn’t seen Rambo, her now 13-month-old dog, since he ran from her home through a gate mistakenly left open.
Rambo’s identity is at the centre of a court case because animal authorities believe he is a pit bull, a breed prohibited in Ontario since 2005, and should be euthanized. Nowakowska is fighting that ruling.
“Who’s my good boy?” Nowakowska asked as soon as she saw her pooch during the private half-hour visit at Mississauga Animal Services, where Rambo is being held.
Nowakowska plans to visit again.
