A Saudi groom agreed to marry 3 women at once
When a Saudi Arabian man proposed marriage to a school teacher she readily accepted – on the condition he marry two of her friends at the same time, according to reports.
Men in the conservative Islamic kingdom are allowed to have up to four wives at a time, but are not allowed to treat them differently.
The man, who has not been named, was shocked by the idea but eventually agreed to his lover’s proposal after coming under strong pressure from his family and friends.
He married the three women in the same ceremony, the local daily paper Al Youm reported at the weekend.
He bought three apartments in the same building in an unnamed Saudi city and moved his new wives in.
