Sault Ste. Marie defeats Erie 3-1

SAULT STE MARIE, Ont. – Nick Cousins scored twice as the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds defeated the visiting Erie Otters 3-1 on Friday in Ontario Hockey League action.

David Quesnele also scored for the Greyhounds (20-24-4), who snapped a four-game losing streak, while Ryan Sproul picked up an assist on all three goals.

Mitchell Eisenberg scored the lone goal for the Otters (5-37-4), who have now dropped 12 straight games.

Jack Cambell made 29 saves for the win, and first star of the game, as Ramis Sadikov turned away 26 shots in defeat.

Sault Ste. Marie went 1 for 6 on the power play while Erie failed to score on three opportunities with the man advantage.
