Sheen fired from ‘Two and a Half Men,’ but he’s still hiring

Charlie Sheen’s time on “Two and a Half Men” has come to a close. The star, who has made a wave of headlines over the past week, has been terminated by Warner Bros. Television, the company announced in a statement Monday.

“After careful consideration, Warner Bros. Television has terminated Charlie Sheen’s services on ‘Two and a Half Men’ effective immediately,” according to the statement, TheWrap.com reported.

According to a report on Variety.com, the studio sent the actor a letter informing him of the termination. Sheen had another season to go on his contract with the studio for the CBS comedy, which was shut down for the rest of this season by the studio and network on Feb. 24 because of Sheen’s increasingly erratic behavior and hard-partying lifestyle.

Reps for the studio told Variety that said no final decision has been made about the fate of “Two and a Half Men” on CBS next season, other than the fact that Sheen will not be on the series.

Not one to be discouraged, however, Sheen today announced on Twitter that he is looking for an intern. The listing — run through Internships.com, which has a sponsorship deal with the actor — asks for a ‘#tigerbloodintern’ to help ‘#teamsheen’ continue ‘#winning.’ So, ambitious aspiring social media professionals, here’s your chance to hop on and ride the Sheen wave — at least for a while, before you inevitably quit due to the unique pressure caused by having a crazy person as your boss.
