We love a good Internet challenge, someone eating an entire teaspoon of cinnamon or drinking a gallon of milk in just a few minutes, but condom snorting, the newest Internet craze, have both medical professionals and celebrities fighting back.
Since April, several teenagers have posted videos on the internet labeled “Condom Challenge” where people on a dare stick a condom up their nose, breathe it in and pull it out of their mouth. Ta-Da! You have YouTube gold. So why in the world would doctors be telling people not to do these videos.
A leading Physician in Australia Dr. Joe Kosterich said,”Although it is highly unlikely to be fatal it could trigger a coughing fit in some. The nasal linings could get irritated but this would be annoying rather than serious.”
He also said that if it were to get stuck it would make for a pretty embarrassing trip to the E.R.
Celebrities have also made their own video showing their disdain for condom snorting. Olivia Munn, Justin Long and even Kanye West shake their heads and comment on this activity. Justin Long yelled “You filthy little toads!”
