Watch as spider tries to eat a mouse, Facebook tries to look away

Because Mondays aren’t terrifying enough…

After a refreshing weekend, there is nothing like starting the week with ambition, but this spider trying to eat a mouse might be a bit overzealous.

A man found the spider dragging a mouse across his house in Australia. His neighbor, Jason Womal, captured the feat on video.

“So I am just about to leave for work about 0030 and me neighbour says 'You want to see something cool' and I say 'Hell yeah,'" Womal wrote in a Facebook post. “So we proceed to his place and he shows me this. Huntsman trying to eat a mouse.”

The public reacted with comments like “OMG,” “Omfgggg” and “nope nope nope.”

One commenter wrote: "Not right, the spider alone is enough, but he found a mouse to eat in the house too. Yikes!!!!!!!!"

Huntsman spiders, also called “wood spiders” because they typically like to live in woods, are large but “relatively harmless,”according to Animal Corner.

Womal later updated everyone. “Ok guys so just letting you all know that the spider is fine,” he wrote in another Facebook post. “We have named him Hermie, we have adopted him and he is now running his own extermination business out of our town Coppabella. Oh and he is now paying rent. Lol”

So far, the post has 210,368 shares, 36 thousand reactions and the video has 14 million views.

Some days you’re the mouse and some days you’re the spider.
