Sticking to his guns

DENVER – A Colorado Republican is standing by a pair of comments in which he classified being gay as a lifestyle choice and referred to a 2005 rape as a case of “buyer’s remorse.”
Ken Buck, opposed to the repeal of “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell,” on “Meet the Press” yesterday compared being gay to the choice an alcoholic makes. “You can choose who your partner is,”?Buck said. “I think birth has an influence over it, like alcoholism and some other things, but I think that basically you have a choice.”
