Teen charged after Molotov cocktail thrown

A teenager faces arson charges after a Molotov cocktail was thrown at a home at 12 Meadowland Drive in Stittsville over the weekend.

The fire was extinguished before police and firefighters arrived at the scene. The 70-year-old female resident was not injured.

Police said Tuesday they charged a 17-year-old male with one count of possession of explosive material. He appears in court Sept. 7.
