Friends of Eugenia Migounov, killed in a car accident Sunday night, comfort one another yesterday in front of Newtonbrook Secondary School as principal Lynne Kaufman looks on.

Reflecting on his 15-year-old daughter who was killed in a car accident Sunday night, the girl’s father could barely talk yesterday.

His daughter, Eugenia Migounov, was pronounced dead on Sunday at Sunnybrook hospital a short time after emergency workers pulled her from what was left of a car that collided with a TTC shelter on Bathurst Street.

"She was a beautiful young girl who loved life," said the man, known as Dimitry.

Described by friends as a shy, "good girl," who would have turned 16 on March 21, Migounov was sitting in the back seat passenger’s side of an Acura when it mounted the sidewalk on Bathurst Street around 9:30 p.m.

The 17-year-old driver, who cannot be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, has been charged with impaired driving causing death and negligent driving causing death.
