A 19-year-old student sliced off his penis after stabbing his mother in Haywards Heath in the U.K. on Dec. 29. The teenager is believed to have taken party drug mephedrone, also known as “meow meow,” reports the Daily Mail.
Police found him hanging out of a window as he bled through his crotch after his mother called emergency services. Both mother and son were taken to the hospital. His mother was described as being in stable condition as of Tuesday. It is believed that surgeons reattached the teenager’s penis and he was also described as being in stable condition.
A source told the Mirror that the teenager had taken a recent foray into drugs and was home from college for Christmas. ‘He had come home from university for Christmas. ‘It looks like he took mephedrone and completely flipped out attacking his mum and then himself,’ said the source.
‘When the police arrived they found him hanging from a window and then discovered he had cut off his penis.’
Methedrone is a party drug and known as a cheap substitute for MDMA.
