As the New York Post would say, how "selfie-ish!"
A teenager was busted for taking a photo of herself with a cadaver while she was on a school trip. The senior at Clements High School in Limestone County, Ala., was learning about the University of Alabama's anatomical donor program when she decided to snap a quick pic with one of the deceased, reports WHNT.
It certainly was not an accident. The young woman had to pull a sheet off the cadaver before she smiled and turned the camera on herself. The student's classmate took a screenshot and showed it to her sister, who then contacted the school.
Visitors are in no way permitted to touch the cadavers or remove their sheets. They are also not supposed to use cellphones or cameras on their tour.
Karen Tucker, Limestone County School Board Director of Public Relations and Technology, told WHNT, “We are speaking to the University of Alabama Birmingham; they are understandably upset with this incident and we want to preserve our relationship with the university. Therefore we are speaking to them and wanting to know how we can mend this process and keep our relationship with them, and we are in the process of deciding on the discipline that will occur.”
The school would not comment on whether or not the student had been suspended.
