Max Mara, home of the omnipresent camel coat, has produced a new line of over-achieving outerwear for its satellite line, ‘S collection.
Called The Cube, the series features reversible, multi-functional quilted parkas, which all come with interchangeable accessories such as hoods, snoods, cuffs, gloves and shrugs. The beauty is that they are warm and lightweight, dressy and sporty. The downside is that they cost about the price of two coats, starting at roughly $1,000. (Then again, you get multiple looks in one.)
Depending on how you wear it, any one of these coats work for a Saturday’s run of errands, the commute to work, that ski vacay in the mountains and the dinner-date night out.
