On Nov. 24, base jumper Thayer Healy traveled to Moab, Utah, to jump off a cliff in a popular spot known as Wall Street.
Shortly after jumping, Healy struggles with his gear and then slams into the side of the cliff. He sustained several injuries including a compression fracture of the T12 vertebra, five stitches to the eye, six stitches to the chin, sprains to the back, wrist and hand, and multiple bruises. Fortunately, Healy survived the scary fall and only spent one day in the hospital.
The shocking video was captured by a GoPro HD camera mounted to his helmet.
