A young woman has been arrested after scolding her boyfriend on a Hong Kong street and slapping him repeatedly in front of a crowd of onlookers.
The two were having a “dispute over love affairs,” and a video that caught the humiliating act has gone viral.
“Why did you tell her to go to your apartment?” the girl asks her boyfriend, who is kneeling in front of her.
“Listen to me before beating me!” the boyfriend begs.
A few minutes into the video, the woman is seen grabbing her boyfriend’s hair with one hand and then slapping him numerous times with the other hand.
A passerby called police and the woman, 20, was arrested for common assault, according to a police spokesman. The man, 23, was taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital for treatment.
