Rachel Jeantel, Trayvon Martin’s close friend and the prosecution’s star witness, visited Piers Morgan to talk about her friend.
Watching this heartbreaking interview only proves what a genuine teenager Jeantel is and how she liked to do normal teenage things with Martin – like talk on the phone for hours.
Morgan first asked about her reaction to George Zimmerman's acquittal on all charges.
“Disappointed, upset, angry and … mad,” she responded.
When Morgan explained that after a long deliberation the jury decided that the prosecution hadn’t proved their case and that Zimmerman acted in self-defense, Jeantel responded with “BS. Just BS.”
“In your heart what do you believe happened?” Morgan asked.
“He was trying to get home,” Martin’s friend responded.
Morgan and Jeantel talked about the phone records that were produced that showed how the two friends talked for hours upon hours daily, something very familiar for most teenagers.
The two friends made plans for their lives over the phone. They also chattered about their birthdays.
Martin was a “calm, chill, loving person. He loved his family, definitely his mother, and he was a good friend,” Jeantel said.
