Danny Hamilton’s father, who has been hard of hearing for a very long time, recently got new hearing aids.
On Christmas, Hamilton wrote a special song for his dad to let him know, “I liked you better deaf.”
“Since you found out that your ears are micable, I have to say it’s made you just a touch less likeable,” he sings in the hilarious tune.
“It used to be if I’d run out of anything to say, I could just mumble and you’d usually go away,” he continues.
Hamilton’s father, who heard every word of the song, proclaimed at the end, “That is going to be an Internet classic!”
He might be right. The song already has more than 100,000 hits on YouTube since being posted on Wednesday.
