A tidal wave of excitement will soon hit the shores of Lake Ontario as Monarch introduces Nautilus — the fourth building in the company’s Waterview urban resort. Sleek, slender and sensational, Nautilus will carve a landmark figure on Toronto’s skyline, and will add another fabulous residential component to this popular community in Etobicoke’s Humber Bay Shores.
The brainchild of renowned Graziani & Corazza Architects Inc., the design for the exterior of Nautilus reflects its lakeside surroundings. This 37-storey tinted-glass tower will rise from a three-storey precast and glass podium, which will feature recreational facilities, residential suites, and retail space including a proposed major grocery store. Many of the tower suites include six-foot-deep balconies that expand living area to the great outdoors. Picking up on the cool blues and soothing greens of the water, the balcony glass sections are arranged in a unique sweeping pattern that creates a sense of movement inspired by a ship’s sail.
Like its sister buildings, Nautilus will offer panoramic views of Lake Ontario and the Toronto skyline through expansive windows.
In keeping with the high level of quality that Waterview stands for, Monarch enlisted award-winning Tanner Hill Associates to design and decorate the stunning lobby and detail the attractive corridors. Suite owners will enjoy services provided by a uniformed 24/7 concierge, and will be able to utilize two designer-decorated guest suites.

Highlighting the amenities will be the Nautilus CLUB, where residents will find an exceptional collection of recreational and entertainment facilities. In the designer-decorated, special occasion/party Nautilus Room, they can hold large get-togethers enhanced by a caterer’s kitchen and bar opening onto a tranquil landscaped garden oasis featuring resort-inspired private cabanas with barbecues. Hosting movie screenings is also an entertainment option in the Silver Screen Room, where cinema-style seating combines with big-screen viewing, a projector and surround sound to make the movie experience complete.
The Aqua Lounge is a sports lounge with a billiards table and TV, and for special dinner parties.
The private Oceana dining room awaits residents and their guests.
When activity and exercise are in order, the indoor Reflections Pool and Whirlpool will invite suite owners to rejuvenate their spirit while basking in the glow of natural light from expansive windows. Separate men’s and ladies change rooms with soothing saunas complete the nurturing. In the Energy Fitness Room, cardio, yoga and aerobics areas offer TV viewing while residents work out on commercial-grade equipment.
For more focused times, the Surf Lounge is a high-tech cyber lounge with Internet access and computer equipment, and the Whisper Room will offer a cozy spot for reading and book club meetings.
As for the suites themselves, Nautilus will pamper owners with luxurious finishes such as nine-foot ceiling heights in the principal rooms, strip laminate flooring, 40-ounce broadloom in the bedroom, plus the choice of porcelain-tile flooring in the bathrooms.
Contemporary kitchens come complete with granite countertops and a brand-name stainless-steel kitchen appliance package including an Energy Star frost-free, bottom-freezer refrigerator and glass-top, self-clean oven; an Energy Star built-in dishwasher and microwave hood fan.
Environmentally speaking, residents will also benefit from an individually controlled, year-round heating and air conditioning heat pump system; low VOC paint; Low E tinted windows, low-flow showerheads and lavatory faucets, and much more.
Suites at Nautilus will range in size from 465 to 1,418 sq. ft. and will be priced from the $170,000s.
The Nautilus sales centre is coming soon to the Etobicoke waterfront, south of Lake Shore Boulevard, east of Parklawn Road.
