Whether you love him or hate him, it’s Trump-apalooza. The president-elect is everywhere: on your social media feeds, on the television, on newspaper covers. So where is Hillary Clinton?
Getting some fresh air and exercise with her husband, former president Bill Clinton, and their dogs. The pair was spotted on Thursday in Chappaqua, New York, by another hiker, Margot Gerstner who posted the photo to her Facebook page. The Gerstner’s post has since been made private, but the photo — taken by Bill Clinton — is available online.
“I’ve been feeling so heartbroken since yesterday’s election and decided what better way to relax than take my girls hiking,” Gerstner captioned the image, according to US Weekly. “So I decided to take them to one of [my] favorite places in Chappaqua. We were the only ones there and it was so beautiful and relaxing.”
“As we were leaving, I heard a bit of rustling coming towards me and as I stepped into the clearing there she was, Hillary Clinton and Bill with their dogs doing exactly the same thing as I was,” Gerstner’s post continued, according to CBS.
“I got to hug her and talk to her and tell her that one of my most proudest moments as a mother was taking Phoebe with me to vote for her,” she wrote.
“She hugged me and thanked me and we exchanged some sweet pleasantries and then I let them continue their walk,” Gerstner continued. “Now, I’m not one for signs but I think I’ll definitely take this one,” she added. “So proud. #iamstillwithher #lovetrumpshate #keepfighting #lightfollowsdarkness.”
The Clintons own a home in Chappaqua, which is about 40 miles north of New York City.
