DYLANN ROOF WANTED 'CIVIL WAR'
The roommate of the suspected Charleston church shooter, 21-year-old Dylann Roof, has said Roof may have been planning the massacre for six months and wanted to ignite 'a civil war', according to The Guardian. Interviews with friends are indicating Roof was a committed racist who wanted to see the reintroduction of racial segregation.

GREEK PM PREDICTS END OF EURO
After a day that saw a 1.2bn Euro run on Greece's banks, Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras has predicted the end of the eurozone and the collapse of the single currency, according to a report in The Daily Mail. Tsipras is resisting further austerity cuts despite staring down the barrel of bankruptcy but has welcomed an emergency summit that will take place on Monday.

THAILAND'S FIRST MERS CASE
Thailand confiming it has discovered its first case of MERS, says CNN. Thai Public Health Minister Rajata Rajatanavin said a man traveling from the Middle East to Bangkok was found to have the virus. South Korea confirmed its 24th MERS death.

STOWAWAY SURVIVES 11-HOUR FLIGHT
A man died after clinging on to a London-bound 747 jet for more than 8,000 miles, according to The Mirror. The dead man fell to his death on to an office building under the Heathrow flightpath in Richmond, south-west London. Astonishingly, a second stowaway survived the 11-hour flight from Johannesburg, South Africa and is in a serious condition in a nearby hospital.

KANGAROOS ARE SOUTHPAW
Most kangaroos are 'left-handed' when undertaking normal tasks like grooming and feeding, reports the BBC. The study is the first time it's been shown that population-level 'handedness' exists in a species other than humans and further proof that us mostly right-handed humans should never box a kangaroo ever.
